Overview

We are seeking experienced and highly skilled welders & platers to join our fabrication and manufacturing team. Successful candidates will be capable of welding carbon steel and stainless-steel components using a range of welding processes, including MIG/MAG (135), Flux-Cored Arc Welding (136), and TIG (141).

The role will involve the fabrication and welding of precision components and specialist stainless-steel assemblies to a high standard of quality and safety. The required weld tests include carbon steel plate welding, stainless steel plate welding, and 6G stainless steel pipe welding.

Key Responsibilities

Perform welding using:

  • MAG/MIG (Process 135)
  • Flux-Cored Arc Welding (Process 136)
  • TIG Welding (Process 141)
  • Weld carbon steel and stainless-steel components to engineering drawings and welding procedures.
  • Complete butt welds, fillet welds and pipe welds to a coded standard.
  • Carry out stainless steel pipe welding in the 6G position.
  • Prepare materials, fit-up assemblies and ensure joint preparation is completed correctly.
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols and technical specifications.
  • Conduct visual inspection of completed welds and rectify defects where necessary.
  • Work safely in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality throughout production.

Use of fabrication tools and workshop equipment  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current or previous ISO 9606 and/or ASME coded welding qualifications.

Experience within one or more of the following industries would be advantageous:

  • Oil & Gas / Power Generation / Process Plant / Pharmaceutical / Food & Beverage / Data Centres / Heavy Engineering
