TIG and Stick Welder

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

To carry out the tasks outlined below in a timely and efficient manner. Achieving fabrication and other production targets, resulting in the facilitation of continued improvement of the company.

KEY TASKS

• Performing high quality TIG, MIG, MMA and SAW welds on mild steel, stainless steel, and nickel alloys
• Working correctly to the parameters of Weld Procedure Specifications.
• Gaining and keeping required welding codes qualifications
• Carrying out welding tasks to required safety, quality and efficiency standards

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience as a coded TIG and Stick Welder
• MIG Welding experience (desirable but not essential)
• Experience in Oil and Gas, or Nuclear industry
• Confident using factory equipment such as rotators, manipulators and cranes
• Must be able to read and understand fabrication drawings
• Must hold or recently have Welder qualifications to ASME IX and EN 9606-1 standards

MANDATORY RESPONSIBLITIES

• Not undertake any task for which authorisation and / or training has not been given.
• To promote and maintain a culture of continued Risk Assessments.
