Hinkley Point C

LTi Vessco recently manufactured a large deaerator pressure vessel for the turbine island at Hinkley Point C (HPC) - one of the UK’s most significant nuclear infrastructure projects.

This pressure vessel combines a deaerator and feedwater tank in a single integrated design, supporting efficient removal of dissolved gases from boiler feedwater to improve turbine efficiency and reduce corrosion risk.

Project highlights include:

  • Exceptional scale – weighing over 330 tonnes, one of the largest fabrications undertaken by LTi Vessco

  • Sectional manufacture – fabricated in sections at our South Wales facility and transported to site for final assembly

  • Performance-critical duty – engineered to meet demanding operational and compliance requirements for nuclear power generation

This project demonstrated our ability to deliver large, complex pressure equipment within regulated nuclear environments.
